THE RENDEZ-VOUS
We advise our clients to come to our showroom first to analyse their request and so we can show them the wide range of possibilities offered.
We recommend them to come with plans of the house and as much information as possible (photos and dimensions).
This visit to our showroom allows us, with the aid of the fireplaces displayed (some in operation), catalogues and ongoing projects, to give a first view of the materials used, how they are used, and to explain the advantages and disadvantages of the various solutions. .

The fireplace, an essential element of comfort for the family to gather round, is too often considered as an ?extra? to basic decor. Francis COGNAUX and his team are at the disposal of budding builders to examine their plans and look together at the best location for this comfortable area which should be warm, functional and convivial. As well as the fireplaces displayed there is a selection of the best brands of hearths: Stûv, Bodart & Gonay, Ruegg, Don Bar, Focus, Polyflam, Nestor Martin, Tulikivi, etc ... Theses brands offer a complete choice of inserts, retractable hearths, designer stoves and even made-to-measure hearths.
If you already know exactly what you want, it is sometimes possible to directly draw up a draft design, wither by hand or on the computer.
You can also visit the workshops and the storage hall which adjoin the showroom, to be reassured of the options offered by the company.
At the end of this first meeting, an on-site appointment can be made.
THE DESIGN
The design is created either by hand or on the computer.
A large format printer allows the whole project or its separate elements to be printed to scale so that the clients can see the real size of the fireplace.

"The stones, the finishes, the styles, the sculpture are all tools which give the spirit the power to imagine and create an artistic project. Chosen from among Pierre de France, marble, Blue Stone, granite; the stone for a project is unique. Old-fashioned carving, sandblasting, etching or polishing.... a variety of finishes improve the natural beauty of the material. The elegance of lines and forms, the finesse of the engravings, the originality of the location, all give the creation a modern, rustic, classic or period style. Glass, wood, brass or other fine material can be added to give a variety of aesthetic variations to the finish. Whether an open or closed fire, the integration of efficient systems for ecological combustion or heat recovery, will give rise to astonishment and fascination at the magic of fire" |
THE ORDER
When the details of the project and the order are checked by the client, the process starts to achieve the satisfaction expected by the client.
THE FINAL PLAN AND MANUFACTURE
 |
Details of the plan are then defined and it is broken down in preparation for manufacture in the workshop.
The plan is divided into layers, each layer representing a level of construction. This division makes it easier to read the plan both for manufacture and for fitting on site.
The plan, accompanied by the cutting instructions, is then processed by the manufacturing team in the workshop.
"The choice of raw material and its rigorous selection using very strict criteria are the basis of the success of the project.
The pieces are cut, polished and finished, not only using modern automated equipment but also craftsmen who create a finish just like in the past. Each fireplace is pre-assembled in the workshop to ensure that the pieces can be adjusted accurately."
