Tulikivi stoves are built from steatite, an unrivalled material for chimney-stoves. The capacity of accumulation of heat from the steatite, its thermal conductibility and its weight guarantee excellent output, calorific power and duration of restitution of heat, all linked with a compact size and great resistance.

Tulikivi chimney-stoves are built from potstone, an unrivalled natural material which the company extracts itself in Finland.  Its colour varies from pearl grey to elegant flecked grey. The natural and changing surface of the stone gives more life to the chimney-stoves. The properties of Tulikivi potstone have been the subject of rigorous tests. All of the stone extracted at Nunnanlahti comes from the same deposit.
